Apple Launches Cheaper 8GB iPhone 5c in India

Apple originally launched the 8GB iPhone 5c in some non-U.S. markets in March, and today it expanded its availability to India.

The 8GB iPhone 5c has a retail price of Rs 37,500, which is about $640. However Apple is currently offering a discount of Rs 4,000 bringing the price down to Rs 33,550 ($570). For a limited time, Apple is also offering a free case worth Rs 2,000.

In line with the previous rumours, Apple has launched 8GB storage variant of iPhone 5C in India. While the phone's MRP is Rs 37,500, Apple is offering a cash discount of Rs 4,000. This brings down the phone's price to Rs 33,500.

Apple is also giving a case worth Rs 2,000 with the phone. However, Apple informs that it's a limited period offer. While the duration of the offer has not been disclosed, we expect the company to continue with the discounted price to boost the sales of the phone.

Apple had first introduced the 8GB variant of iPhone 5C in UK and France under tie-ups with operators O2 and SFR. The phone was launched at 429 pounds in the UK, in March.

Previously, Apple had also introduced an 8GB variant of iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S in India.
