PhoneIt-iPad, a package for the iPad 3G that adds phone and SMS functionality, has been updated to support iOS 5, reports Redmond Pie.
This hack by iPhoneIslam requires a SIM card with a voice plan and a jailbroken iPad 3G. You can find instructions on how to jailbreak your device here. Once jailbroken you must add thehttp://apps.iphoneislam.com repo to Cydia and install the PhoneIt-iPad package which will cost you $19.99.
You can see some screenshots and previously released video below. PhoneIt-iPad does not yet support the iPad 2.
